Active Consent Bill Signed in California»
"California has become the first state to require students on college campuses to receive active consent before all sexual activity."
"…lack of resistance or objection cannot constitute consent."
"The new law will also offer other protections: universities will be required to offer on-campus victims’ advocates; victims who come forward to report a sexual assault may not be punished for under-age drinking; and all institutions will be required to teach incoming freshmen about sexual assault and consent during orientation."

Love my Casey dog :)
I found an old flashdrive from high school today. This photo was on it that I took 5 years ago. She might not be as energetic as she was back then but she’s still the best.
One paragraph down!
7 3/4 pages left to go…
I’m writing a paper about my personal values and ethics. It has to be 8 pages. The thought of writing an 8 page paper about myself terrifies me. Give me a 20 page paper on literally anything else and I got this.
You are personally responsible for becoming more ethical than the society you grew up in.
Had a fantastic weekend with this goof. :) #me
I have noticed that when all the lights are on, people tend to talk about what they are doing – their outer lives. Sitting round in candlelight or firelight, people start to talk about how they are feeling – their inner lives. They speak subjectively, they argue less, there are longer pauses. To sit alone without any electric light is curiously creative. I have my best ideas at dawn or at nightfall, but not if I switch on the lights – then I start thinking about projects, deadlines, demands, and the shadows and shapes of the house become objects, not suggestions, things that need to done, not a background to thought.
